Membership
Any person may apply for membership with us, ant and all applications and other such documentations may be subject to a police background check if deemed necessary for insurance liability purposes. Membership can be requested online using the appropriate form or on an attached club in hard copy format.
We offer two types of membership: 1) full membership or 2) individual membership.
1) The FULL membership is acquired through the application of an attached club, you must be a member of a recognized ISFW school to take advantage of our full service offer.
2) An INDIVIDUAL membership can be acquired through online application, and doesn't need to be a member of an ISFW recognized school. The difference between this and the FULL membership is in a restricted range of services through the association and a different style of membership card.
The annual fee for the association's membership is € 60.00/85,00 CAD for both memberships, it is always paid in December for the following year in advance.

An individual membership that becomes connected with a recognized ISFW school will automatically be converted into a full membership. The member receives the appropriate ID card and can immediately take full use of all services.
Association fee for instructors / club owner
The annual fee for instructors / trainers is 150,00 €/200,00 CAD and is also in December for the following year due.
In addition to the benefits of full membership of the instructors for a range of services includes a membership area protection and free participation in all ISFW seminars and events. (Except level increases and certification seminars)
Instructors training in another part of the field (eg Trinity Combat Defense or umbrella) are also exempted from this regulation, stock instructors receive training on these courses but at a discount of 50%.
Instructors, which do not have their own club receive no territorial protection and free participation in the seminar is limited to three (3) seminars per year.
Termination of Membership
A membership is valid for one year, and if not cancelled by the expiration outline, it is automatically renewed for another year. In the event of a cancellation or termination of membership, there is no entitlement to a refund or a pro rata refund of the annual fee.
A notice must be given within a period of three (3) months to the end of the year in writing and sent by registered mail. With the termination of the membership card must be returned to the association. Until the expiration date of the agreement, the member then receives a temporary replacement card.
Members may be expelled from the association at any time for serious reasons.
These include:
- Character misconduct
- Criminal / violent crime
- Misrepresentation on application or other such paperwork
Expulsion from ISFW is decided by the governing body of the association and the instructor core. Even when a member it expelled he/she will not be entitled for reimbursement of the annual fee.
