ISFW - The Association

I.S.F. WORLDWIDE (ISFW) was founded in 2010 by Glen Doyle and Hendrik Röber, to aid in introducing the global population to the martial art and self defense systems of Rince Bhata Uisce Beatha, Trinity Combat, and Umbrella Defense. With headquarters in Canada and an independent representative office in Europe, we are able to fully serve our association s members on all five continents. The association ISFW works within the accordance of the legal provisions of international trademark and patent laws and is officially registered and recognized. The management and administrative responsibilities of ISFW falls within the jurisdiction of its founders, Glen Doyle in the country of Canada and Hendrik Röber in Germany.

Glen Doyle is the living lineage of the Doyle family style of Irish Stick Fighting, also known as "Rince an Bhata Uisce Beatha" and is the chairman for the North American chapter of our association, and also handles the territories of Asia and the pacific rim.

Mr. Doyle is assisted by Colin Simpson, a career martial artist who was also the very first representative for the Trinity Combat system in North America.

Hendrik Röber, is the Head Instructor of Trinity Combat Concepts is responsible for all the association s activities that fall within the countries of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The association currently manages sports schools, clubs, associations, training groups, and individual members worldwide, and also works together with specially selected fighting arts organizations; for example, a close working relationship and cooperation with the National Martial Arts Circuit, one of North America's largest martial arts associations.
Tradition meets modernity

In addition to modern business ideas and innovative concepts in the field of martial arts and self-protection, the proven principles and values of the traditional arts like "Rince an Bhata Uisce Beatha" remain a priority of our association. Although we are developing more universal and flexible services within our group, progress and innovation will never come at the expense of tradition or quality of technique.

With Irish Stick Fighting, Trinity Combat, and Umbrella Defense, we offer three highly effective fighting and self-defense systems and thus cover all areas of the arms struggle and unarmed self-defense. All three systems are based on one and the same principles, concepts and movements - an immense advantage in terms of learning curve!

To our association, a balance between style and technical reliability is just as important today as it was in the time of the big "faction fights" of the 18th & 19th century in Ireland.
The satisfaction of our members is top priority

Our affiliated members, schools, clubs or associations not only benefit from the complex technical and practical knowledge of ISFW Instructors and officials, but also from the extensive range of services for schools / clubs and members. Our association emphasizes the virtues of reliability, openness, helpfulness, fairness and simple trust, and applies these qualities to all members in the association, whether board, officer, instructor or student.

Since its inception, the ISFW membership numbers have almost doubled with a impressive 0% turnover or membership loss, which should be an indication of our commitment to "member satisfaction". This positive trend shows us that we are on the right track in successfully forming an association that has a fair and impartial leadership core, coupled with a unique friendly almost family like atmosphere.

The success and acceptance of our internationally respected organization is based on a strong and reliable community of like-minded people working together and in effect continuing the tradition of the factions of yesteryear.

We wish everyone a pleasant and informative visit on our site, and on behalf of our members, we thank you for the interest you have shown in our organization and hopefully we will get the opportunity to welcome you as the newest member of our extended martial arts family.
